Dr Gilad Bar Dayan heads the Haifa Chapter of Alpha Omega and its NextGen programme for young dentists. A graduate of the Hebrew University Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem (2000), he has been a member of the Israel Dental Association ever since.
Over more than two decades in practice, Dr Bar Dayan has pursued advanced training across many fields of dentistry, including:
- A Mastership in Laser Dentistry from RWTH Aachen University (AALZ), Germany.
- Courses in periodontics and implantology, in Israel and abroad.
- Training in dental hypnosis, sedation and general anaesthesia for dental procedures, paediatric dentistry, prosthodontics and facial aesthetics.
He is a member of the Israeli Association for Laser Dentistry (IALD) and the European Association for Laser Dentistry (EALD). Alongside his private clinic in Haifa, he is a published author: his book Firsthand from a Doctor is a collection of short stories drawn from his experiences.
Community service
In the first days of the “Iron Swords” war, Dr Bar Dayan led the creation of a neighbourhood emergency-response team in Haifa, mobilising residents to support their community in scenarios such as missile attacks — including fundraising and training teams in emergency medicine, firefighting, rescue and psychological resilience.
He has also volunteered with organisations such as:
- Yad Sarah — dental care for people unable to reach a clinic.
- Round Table — a volunteer community-support organisation.
Dr Bar Dayan is passionate about blending professional excellence with meaningful contribution to his community.
